We sat through a lecture in a separate building before actually going to the Solhuset. You can see the large windows let in lots of natural light that fills up the entire space. It's a very big emphasis in Sustainable design as it reduces the amount of energy needed to run the building.
View from the outside of the Solhuset
The computer touch screen that allows a user to view the data collected of how the building is run.
And something that you can only see here in Denmark, outdoor sleeping areas for children. Apparently, kids sleep better when they are outside.
It also happens to be.....
Fashion Week!!
On the train ride back to Roskilde, I sat in the last cabin of the train. The bathroom also happens to be located right there as well. There was a young boy who really had to go, and someone in there was taking a really long time. He must have been having trouble. Anyway, he patiently stood there for what seemed to be 10-15 minutes. His resilience is really commendable. But having to watch him almost wet his pants was entertaining, but also amazing because I'm pretty sure if I was a kid, I probably would have wet myself and made a huge fuss already. Or so I would like to think.
That's it for today.
